State reports 16 new cases of COVID-19

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The state total of COVID-19 cases included 778 cases of residents and 129 cases of non-residents on Tuesday.

    The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services reported 502 recovered cases and 264 active cases.

    There are 14 people who are currently hospitalized or considered a person under investigation for having the virus.

    63 people have been hospitalized during the pandemic.

    Over 92 thousand tests have been administered.

    Southeast Alaska reported one new case.

    Haines has two residents and three non-resident cases.  Juneau has 39 cases with four active and three non-resident cases.

    Sitka has 11 cases with five active cases and three of non-residents.

    Ketchikan has 21 cases with five active cases and six of non-residents.
