State confirms 107 new cases of COVID-19

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services daily report Friday showed 102 new resident cases and five nonresident cases across the state.

    The CBJ added 11 new resident cases and one new nonresident case Friday according to the state report.

    The state report listed a total case count of 4,073 of residents, 1,192 residents recovered, 2,854 active, 168 total hospitalizations, and 27 deaths.

    New resident cases confirmed today included 79 in Anchorage, two in Soldotna, and one each in North Pole, the Fairbanks Northstar Borough, Palmer, Wasilla, the NW Arctic Borough, the Ketchikan Gateway Borough, Prince of Wales Island, Sitka, Unalaska, and the Kusilvak Census Area.

    The five new nonresident cases included one in Juneau, one in Anchorage, and three in Prudhoe Bay.

    The CBJ dashboard said 17 hospital beds are occupied, five critical care beds are filled and one ventilator is in use at Bartlett Hospital.

    Juneau also reported eight active nonresident cases, one patient currently hospitalized with COVID, and 65 nonresidents recovered.

    The CBJ also reported 36 active resident cases, 89 recovered resident cases, and 126 cumulative resident cases.

    They also reported 19 active nonresident cases, 71 recovered nonresident cases, and 90 cumulative nonresident cases.
