Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - One was arrested after Juneau police investigated reports of residents being shot at with a BB gun Saturday night.

Police had received two reports of individuals being shot at with a BB gun Saturday night. The first report at 9:08 p.m. was from a woman who was walking around the area of Glacier Highway and Davis Ave, when the occupants of a dark-colored Jeep Liberty, shot her with what she believed to be an airsoft gun. Later at 9:47 pm, JPD received a report that occupants of a green Jeep were shooting at a moving vehicle while driving inbound on Egan Drive, near Fred Meyer. It was reported that when the occupants of the green Jeep shot the other vehicle, a white Toyota Tacoma, it had shattered the driver's side front window.

The driver was identified as an 18-year-old male, the front passenger was a 20-year-old male, the rear passengers were two 17-year-old females and a 16-year-old female.

The Toyota Tacoma, occupied by three people, reported that the green Jeep pulled up alongside their vehicle while they were all headed inbound on Egan Drive, when the front passenger of the Jeep pointed what they believed was a real handgun at them. They heard a loud sound and then the window to the Toyota shattered.

Following an investigation, police arrested a passenger of the Jeep. He was identified as 20-year-old Jared Nicholas Willia Burns. Burns was placed under arrest and taken to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center. He was lodged on multiple charges including three counts of Assault in the 3rd degree, Assault in the 4th degree, Reckless Endangerment, Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree, and Furnishing Alcoholic Beverages to Persons Under 21.

All of the occupants of the Jeep appeared to be under the influence of alcoholic beverages, according to a release. The juvenile occupants of the Jeep were released to parents.

Police located a black BB-style handgun and BB's inside the Jeep.

The 42-year-old female sustained minor injuries due to being shot with the BB gun. The value of the damaged window of the Toyota Tacoma is estimated at about $250-$300.
