Juneau Chamber golf tourney coming up Saturday

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The 7th Annual Juneau Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic is set for this Saturday at the Mendenhall Golf Course.

    Board member John Blasco is in charge.  He said T-times  occur every 15 minutes starting  at 8 a.m. and continuing until 2:30.  He said on Action Line Tuesday morning that they are about half booked up at that point.

    People can register at juneauchamber.com   Click the green bar in the middle of site which will take you to the booking site.  The cost for a team of four is $300 and $75 for individuals.

    It a Best Ball Scramble which means a team plays the best score of the four member teams.

    Blasco said there are prizes for three different holes in one.  They include $10,000 in cash, $5,000 in cash, and pizza for a year from Bullwinkles.  

    He adds that every hole has different prizes on it including $250 in cash and gift cards.  There are even prizes who hit their ball in to the slough.  

    Hole 10 sponsored by Royal Caribbean allows golfers to test their chip shots.  There are several prizes including round trips on Alaska Seaplanes to Haines and gift cards.
