COVID numbers for July 22 and 23

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Twenty-nine new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Juneau for Thursday and Friday. All but one are resident cases.

    There are currently 86 active cases in Juneau. That number includes three people from the American Cruise Line cluster.

    Sitka's total active caseload was reported to be over 230 as of 8 PM on Thursday.

    Throughout the state, 447 new people were identified with COVID over July 22 and 23. Twenty of that number are non-residents.

    Two more deaths were reported. One is a male resident in his 70s of Petersburg and the other is a male resident in his 60s of Anchorage. The total death count is now 377 in Alaska.
