      Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Thunder Mountain senior Kiah Dihle won her fourth race in a row Saturday, topping the girls field in the Capital City Invitational 5K along the Treadwell Mine Trail at Sandy Beach in 19 minutes and seven seconds to help the Falcons place second with 24 points behind Juneau-Douglas Yadaa.at Kalé with 24, but ahead of Haines 74, Ketchikan 89 and Mt. Edgecumbe 136.

    • Sitka’s Demmert Leads Wolves to Cross-Country Win at Juneau

      Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Sitka High School junior Silas Demmert ran a 16 minute 51 second 5K to win the boys race in the Capital City High School Cross-Country Invitational on Saturday at Sandy Beach and help the Wolves defeat nine other schools for the team title.

    • State High School Swim Championships Moved from Juneau to Anchorage

      Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The Alaska School Activities Association (ASAA) swim and dive state championships scheduled for Nov. 5-6 have been moved from Juneau to Anchorage after the City and Borough of Juneau and ASAA could not come to agreement on COVID-19 mitigation policies for teams attending.
