Come delve into the neural and hormonal routes of communication linking the gastrointestinal (GI) tract with the central and autonomic nervous systems. We will also cover basic strategies to optimize GI microbiota (diverse diet, fermented veggies, avoid processed foods) and look at research connecting neuro-degenerative diseases (autism, Alzheimer’s, addiction, Parkinson’s) and impaired gut function (dysbiosis, IBS, IBD). 1.5 CEUs available.
